Graded cards and slabs

The label is the listing. Send that first.

A graded card is the simplest thing we buy, because the grading company already did the authentication and the condition call. PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC all count. The grade on the label is what we comp — a 7 and a 10 of the same card are different cards for pricing purposes, and we treat them that way.

You don't need a spreadsheet of cert numbers to start. A clear photo of each slab you care about is enough. If you have a stack, lead with the labels you think are the best and we'll tell you which others are worth photographing. Bulk raw cards can ride along; the slabs are what we need to see first.

PSA, BGS, and SGC

Those three grade most of the sports slabs we see in Middle Tennessee. PSA is the most common, BGS shows up on modern cards where the sub-grades mattered to the collector, and SGC is frequent on vintage. We buy all grades, not only 10s. A lower grade on a scarce vintage card can still be the valuable one in the box.

If the case is cracked, the label is missing, or you suspect a fake slab, say so. We'd rather look at it in person than guess from a blurry photo. Authenticating a cert is part of the offer, not an extra fee.

Graded Pokémon

Pokémon slabs are a regular part of what we buy — PSA and CGC most often, BGS as well. Vintage WOTC holos, first-edition and shadowless Base Set, and modern chase cards in slabs all get priced off recent sold comps for that card and grade. A photo of the label is the whole start. If the slab is mixed into a sports collection, send it in the same text; it doesn't need its own visit.

Raw Pokémon you might grade later can stay raw. Submitting cards before you have an offer usually isn't worth the fee. Ask us which ones, if any, are plausible grading candidates, and sell the rest as they are.

Slabs inside a larger collection

Graded cards often sit in the same closet as raw vintage and a lot of commons. Price the slabs from the labels, then decide whether the rest of the collection should ride along. You do not have to sell the slabs one at a time to get a straight number on them.

FAQ

Questions about selling slabs.

Do you only buy PSA 10s?

No. We buy PSA, BGS, SGC, and CGC across the grade scale. A gem mint premium is real on many modern cards, but plenty of value sits in lower grades of older cards. Send the label and we'll price what's actually there.

Where can I sell graded cards near Nashville?

A shop counter, a card show, an online sale, or a buyer who comes to you. Shops are fine for a quick look; many of them pay in store credit or at a discount to recent sales because they have to resell. We pay cash off those same sold comps and meet you in Davidson County or within about 30 miles.

What should the photo include?

The front of the slab, with the card and the certification label readable. A second photo of the back of the card through the case helps on vintage. You don't need to type the cert number unless the label is hard to read.

Do you buy graded Pokémon cards too?

Yes. PSA, CGC, and BGS Pokémon slabs — vintage and modern. Include them with any sports slabs in the same message.

Should I crack the slab and regrade before selling?

Almost never before you have an offer. Cracking a case throws away the grade you already paid for, and a regrade can come back the same or worse. Sell it as it is, or ask us first.

How fast is the offer?

Within 24 hours of usable photos. Cash at the meetup the day you accept. A single slab can be the same day if we're already out.
